Hola a todos!
We want to invite you to come out for a wonderful double bill of Brazilian and Mexican music (Bexican? Mazilian?) this Wednesday, December 16, @9 PM, for the World Music series at Ryles in Cambridge.
Choros com Chocolate starts the night off at 9 PM. This is a new group that plays Brazilian choro with a fresh instrumentation: cello (Catherine Bent), flute (Jared Sims), 7-string guitar (Jason Davis) and La Tuza's own on percussion (Brian O'Neill). CCC will focus on classic compositions by Pixinguinha and Jacob do Bandolim, as well as great pieces by Hermeto Pascoal and some new originals by band members.
La Tuza takes over at 10:30 PM - come meet Paddy, our new violinist/requintoist (via baritone uke!)
This show was also named as a Boston Phoenix pick!
